         Professional Audio Production Services and Private Lessons in New York

        Umut Ermeç is an audio engineer and an electronic musician who holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from University of Istanbul (Turkey), a pre-master diploma in music production and recording techniques from University of Stavanger (Norway), and a master of fine arts degree in recording arts and technologies from Middle Tennessee State University (USA). He taught RIM 4400 – Recording Studio Techniques at Middle Tennessee State University in Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters and assisted many professors as a graduate assistant during his study. He is currently teaching at New York Film Academy.

        His main interests include music perception and cognition, psychoacoustics, music production, technology, history, psychology, sociology and politics. In his master thesis, Project İstanbul: The Usage of  Oriental Elements in Western Electronic Music, he tried to explore and understand the music perception differences in between individuals from different (especially Eastern and Western) cultures. He was the first Turkish student to be admitted to the Department of Dance and Music of University of Stavanger and the very first international student to be graduated from the master of fine arts program of Middle Tennessee State University.
